April 29, 2013 - THANK YOU FOR A GREAT SEASON!
The Ridge Runners (MRR) had their final meeting of the season and AGM on April 4th. This was election year and your executive was voted back in for another 2 years. President: Doug Fraser; Vice President: Jim Patterson; Treasurer: Susan Fraser and Secretary: Kathy Baker. Jamie Bingham has taken over as "Trail Boss" with Bob Weaver as backup. Carlene Johnston will now be our Trail Permit coordinator, with Diane Weaver as backup. Our other department heads and committees all elected to stay on and also remain the same. We have a fantastic group of volunteers who work well together and accomplish great things.
Many thanks to our fabulous landowners and volunteers. MRR has had a great snowmobile season and we were blessed with a lot of snow in our region. Our trails have been wide and smooth and we’ve had numerous compliments on how great the riding was on MRR’s trails in particular, and District 10 in general. It takes a lot of people to produce such great results and we appreciate every one of them.
Over the summer months we have many trails to widen and several re-routes to work on. If you have time and can help out, please do not hesitate to contact Doug Fraser 387-3339; Jamie Bingham at 705-387-4228, Bob Weaver 382-5524 or myself, Kathy at 387-3750. Students – if you need help with your Community Service, we would be glad to help you with that as well.
Have a great summer. Think snowmobiling and lots of snow for next December. And thanks again for volunteering with our club. You are the best!
Kathy Baker, Secretary

Welcome to another great snowmobile season. Our members are out packing and signing the trails and ass soon as we get more snow the groomers will be out working our trails into the same excellent condition as in previous years. Like us, I bet you can't wait to get snowmobiling again!
MRR's meetings are the first Thursday of the month and are held at the Swiss House Country Restaurant near Ahmic Harbour. Meetings are at 6:30pm and generally we order our dinner and then start the meeting. Come and have dinner with other fellow snowmobilers and help the club at the same time. Thursday April 4 will be our final meeting and our AGM.
Please mark Saturday February 16 on your calendar - this is our TRAIL LUNCH fundraiser. The time is 10am to 3pm. The location is being finalized as we speak, and will appear in this column shortly. There will be lots of great food, lots of "snowmobile" talk, lots of snow, and wide smooth trails. We hope you can attend. What a great way to spend Family Day weekend - out on the trails. Or you can come by car as well.
We welcome all new members. If you would like to work on the trails, please give Bob (705-382-5524) a call. If you would like to work with our club in any aspect, we would love to have your help. Just give any of the executive a call.
